I was adopted when I was 15 and I’ve been in the US for almost 2 1/2 years. I read this
book last summer of 2010. I can connected with the book. I cried, laughed, and got mad
with it. I went through with most of how Mr. Mitchell felt then. I loved the book and still
do.

This is truly one of the best books I have ever read, and I read a lot.
It makes my prayers, my past, my God all seem so wonderful and amazing. It has given me
peace and a wonderful dimension to my trust in God that has been needed for a long time.

I am writing this in the hopes that you know that God is using you to reach many
who were very possibly unreachable by our standards.
God has also used you to change the view of myself and my wife on His Word and
His Will in reaching the at-risk kids, an area so many of us turn a blind eye to.

My brother and I were adopted by an American family from a Russian orphange as young
kids. We are now teenagers.
I heard you on the radio and begged for your book.
I have hurt my American parents so much with my anger, rebelliousness and hate.
I knew in my heart that God could NEVER use me, but when I read your book, you
brought me hope for a better live and that God can even use people like me, or as you
say: kids like us.

God as my Home ! This was a new realization that I struggled with because of
circumstances of my past. Even as I grasp this truth, I could literally be anywhere and be
home because everywhere God is with me and He is home.

I haven’t been an orphan, but I went through many hard/difficult situations during my childhood,
and your book has touched the deepest part of my heart.
